Heavy Irony or Just Good Old Fashioned Hypocrisy?

So Sharman Networks (owner of Kazza) have flexed their legal muscles and forced the closure of the Kazza Lite sites. Apparently without the slightest hint of irony, Kazza have threatened the ISP of every web site hosting the application under the terms of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. One can only assume that the prosecution in any future action against Sharman will use this move as evidence that Sharman recognise the validity of the DMCA when it suits them so should also be subject to it for music copyright infringement. In practice though, Sharman are unlikely to be caught on the hop: they have turned their legal dance into an art form and are more likely to meet their end through consumer dissatisfaction and defection than legal proceedings.
