CDWOW have settled out of court with the BPI and will now sell UK sourced CDs to UK customers. The slight irony about this agreement is that UK consumers will now have to pay more for CD WOW CD’s than their continental neighbours. Which consumers could be forgiven as seeing as a slip back towards Rip off Britain. There is also a high degree of inconsistency. I tried to make a purchase of a CD from the US web site of a major online retailer (who will remain nameless) with a UK billing address and a Spanish delivery address and was able to do so: I clear breach of parallel import restrictions. But the BPI have stated that this particular retailer have been found not to be breaching restrictions….
